29.03.2010; Conditions for the introduction into the Union of certain species of bees Commission Decision 2003/881/EC lays down the animal health and certification conditions for imports of bees from certain third countries.
In the interest of simplification of European Union legislation, the measures laid down in that Decision are now included in a new Commission Regulation.
This Regulation applies from 9 April 2010 and consequently repeals Decision 2003/881/EC from that date.
The list of approved third countries in the new Regulation is the same as in Decision 2003/881/EC. However new health certificates enter into force on 9 April 2010. For a transitional period , consignments of bees in respect of which the relevant veterinary certificates have been issued in accordance with Decision 2003/881/EC may continue to be introduced into the European Union.
Vetimpleg explains the consequences and provides you with the new healthcertificates.
