07.07.08; Animal welfare provisions during transport With Council Regulation (EC) No 1/2005 the European Union (EU) has completed a radical overhaul of rules on animal welfare during transport.This Regulation refers to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) on the standards for containers for transporting live animals by air. Before arrange a travel with pet animals by air one should verify whether the size and construction of the container follows the requirements of design establish in the IATA standards and ensure that the pet is familiar with its container prior to shipping.
