Council Directive 90/426/EEC of 26 June 1990 on animal health conditions governing the movement and import from third countries of equidae has been substantially amended several times. In the interests of clarity and rationality the said Directive should be codified.
For that reason Directive 90/426/EEC will be replaced with a new Directive from 12-08-2010.
