01.10.08; New certification requirements for imports into and transit through the European Community of certain live ungulate animals and their fresh meat Part 1 of Annexes I and II to Council Decision 79/542/EECsets out a list of third countries and parts of third countries from which EU Member States are authorised to import certain live animals and their fresh meat.
Pursuant to Decision 79/542/EEC, imports of those animals and meat are to comply with the requirements laid down in the appropriate models of veterinary certificate set out in the Annexes to that Decision.
The models of veterinary certificates for animals are set out in Part 2 of Annex I to Decision 79/542/EEC and the models for meat are set out in Part 2 of Annex II.
With an amendment of Decision 79/542/EEC, published on 30.09.08, these models have been amended and updated.
