02.08.08; Imports of semen, ova and embryos of the ovine and caprine species into the EU
Today the European Commission has set out a list of third countries and approved semen collection centres from which EU Member States are to authorise imports into the European Community of semen of the ovine and caprine species, a list of third countries and approved embryo collection teams from which EU Member States are to authorise imports into the European Community of ova and embryos of those species, and the certification requirements relating to such imports.

The new requirements applies from 1 September 2008.

Until that date there were no EU harmonized certification requirements.
